Moving to Brambleton

Checklist for new Brambleton residents — BCA onboarding, LCPS, Loudoun County services, and what to verify before move-in day.

Moving into Brambleton means juggling HOA/BCA resident setup and Loudoun County government services at the same time. Use this checklist as a starting point — your closing documents and BCA notices remain the authority.

Before closing

  • Confirm which village and HOA documents govern your lot (some streets border adjacent communities).
  • Run the LCPS school locator with your exact street address — do not assume by neighborhood name alone.
  • Note trash/recycling collection day for your address on Loudoun County’s site.

First two weeks after move-in

  1. BCA resident onboarding — pool tags, guest policies, portal login, and architectural review contacts via brambleton.org.
  2. Update your address with USPS, Virginia DMV, and employer payroll as needed.
  3. Loudoun County — verify personal property tax and voter registration workflows if you are new to Virginia.
  4. Utilities — activate electric/gas/internet; some providers vary by section of Brambleton.

Home improvements

Exterior changes (decks, fences, paint colors) typically require BCA architectural review even when a county permit is also required. Start both processes early — summer contractor schedules fill quickly in Northern Virginia.
